Brussels Pride turns thirty. There is no official archive of it, so we asked people to look in their attics.
What came back fills nine rooms: hand-painted banners, photocopied flyers, membership cards, protest placards, cassette tapes of speeches nobody recorded officially, a disco ball that has been to more parades than most of us. Some of it is in excellent condition. Some of it is held together with tape.
The exhibition is arranged by decade, with room for the things that refuse to be dated. Wall texts are in English, French and Dutch. Nothing here is behind glass unless conservation demanded it.
